Dog Playing Outside

FAQ

Can I bring food from home for my dog to eat?

We serve premium all natural food once or twice a day.  You’re welcome to bring your own food.  If you do so, we just ask that you bag and label each serving separately.

Is there a discount if I have two dogs staying at the same time?

Yes, we offer a multi-pet boarding discount of 15% for additional dogs who share a room. In our effort to maximize the safety and health of all guests, we do not allow dogs from separate households (friends, neighbors, family members) to room together while staying with us.

Is there an age limit on dogs that can stay with you?

For any dog over 10 years old that has not lodged with us before, we may require and complimentary “meet and greet” visit prior to your pet’s stay. Puppies must be at least 17 weeks old to stay with us.

My dog is blind/deaf. Can it stay with you?

We have successfully cared for blind and deaf dogs in the past. A complimentary “meet and greet” visit may be required prior to your pet’s stay with us.

Can you train my dog while it is staying with you?

Yes, several options are available for us to train your dog during an overnight lodging visit.

Does my dog have to be neutered?

No. However, in certain situations un-neutered dogs may be limited to individual play sessions.

Is there someone on-site 24 hours?

Our facility is also equipped with and indoor/outdoor video surveillance systems. We have staff on-site from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM or later.

What are your vaccination requirements for dogs?

What if my pet needs veterinary care while staying at Folsom Dog Resort?

If your pet needs veterinary care while during his or her stay Folsom Dog Resort will try to consult with your pet’s primary veterinarian. If this is not possible, we work with several local veterinarians to resolve any medical situation that may arise. At Folsom Dog Resort, our goal is to be the best place for your pet when they aren’t at home, and that means ensuring a happy, healthy and safe environment. We are pleased to offer the Folsom Dog Resort Health Care Commitment Program, in which Folsom Dog Resort will reimburse you up to $500 for any eligible expenses incurred while your pet is at our resort receiving boarding, daycare, training and/or grooming services. When you bring your pet to Folsom Dog Resort, you are automatically enrolled in this program and will be eligible to receive this reimbursement for any treatment or diagnosis provided by your licensed veterinarian for any incident that occurred during your pet’s stay or up to 5 days after their departure. For more details regarding the program and to sign the Health Care Commitment, contact your local resort.
